Founded in 1987 at Surfside Beach by Karan Cleland, Cheryl Cleland, and Carleton Kruse, Texas Outrigger is the first of its kind on the Western Gulf Coast. We are committed to fostering the Hawaiian Aloha spirit inherent in outrigger paddling. We encourage recreational involvement through fitness training and general enjoyment of this heritage. Our usual paddling venue is Clear Lake thru Kemah Channel to Galveston Bay.
